Paolo Oria, a well-known personality in the Italian shoe trade who served recently as secretary general of ASSOPROV, the Italian association of footwear agents, died of a heart attack during a vacation in Sardinia. He was 65 years old. His son Sergio had already started to take over his business, representing Pieffe and other Italian shoe companies abroad. Bruno Capitelli, the treasurer of ASSOPROV, will take over the secretariat until the association’s next general meeting in May.
