Phoenix Footwear Group has terminated 2008 and 2005 license agreements with the Tommy Bahama Group. As of the termination date, Feb. 24, Phoenix ceased manufacturing Tommy Bahama products, but the company has until May 1 to sell off remaining products, with the possibility of extending this deadline to June 1. Phoenix will take a first-quarter pre-tax charge of $725,000 to $900,000 account for its Tommy Bahama business as a discontinued operation. The action was not due to a breach of contract or default by either party, a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission states.
