Pittards has promoted Reg Hankey to the new position of chief executive. Hankey was already managing director of the glove and leather division of Pittards, which operates out of Yeovil. The nomination is related to the fact that the British leather company is winding down its activities in Leeds and folding them into its Yeovil site. All of Pittards will now report to Hankey, who ultimately answers to Stephen Boyd, the company’s chairman. While the British leather producer continues its consolidation process, it has appointed Corporate Synergy as adviser and broker. On the company’s board, Lars Gustav Fex has replaced as a director David Tebbs, who has retired. Fex was nominated by Peter Gyllenhammar, a Swedish investor who now owns 65 percent of the company after investing £2 million (€3.0m-$3.8m) to ensure that it returns to financial stability.
