Pollini, the upmarket shoe brand owned by the Italian fashion group Aeffe, increased its sales in the first half of this year to €14.8 million from €12.9 million in the same period a year earlier. The parent company, Aeffe, reduced its net loss to €5.1 million from €6.3 million during the period as its consolidated revenues increased to €120 million from €102.9 million. The company posted operating earnings before amortization of €4.4 million against a loss of €2.3 million, and the profitability of the group improved further in the second quarter, where sales grew by 14 percent at retail and 18 percent at wholesale.
