Prada has appointed Sebastian Suhl chief operating officer, reporting to the chief executive, Patrizio Bertelli. Suhl will take up his new job on Sept. 1 and will be in charge of the retail, wholesale, e-commerce and marketing of the brands Prada, Miu Miu and Car Shoe. Suhl, 41, started working with the group in 2001 as managing director of Prada France. In 2005, he was promoted to chief executive of Prada Asia Pacific. Meanwhile Stefano Cantino, a 42-year-old manager who has been with Prada since 2007, has become the group’s communication director. He ran Car Shoe before acting as brand director of Church’s and then marketing director of Prada.
