Elisabet will be manufacturing children’s shoes under the Calvin Klein Jeans brand starting with the spring/summer 2022 collection. The agreement was reached with the brand’s owner PVH Corp and covers Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The Italian footwear manufacturer already has a license agreement for children’s shoes with Tommy Hilfiger, another PVH brand. It started with the spring/summer 2018 collection and covers the same regions.
Lara Vallasciani, CEO of Elisabet, said that the partnership with PVH has been a strong driver in the company’s digitalization and the creation of more sustainable products.
Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein are key assets for PVH and have become even more central to its strategy after the announced sale of the group’s Heritage Brands business to Authentic Brands Group (ABG) for about $220 million. The business includes the Izod, Van Heusen, Arrow and Geoffrey Beene brands. The deal with ABG is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021. PVH intends to use the proceeds from the sale to repurchase its common shares.
