The French luxury fashion house Maison Margiela and Reebok have started to develop a joint product line, and the partnership is “set to span several seasons,” the companies say. The first products are scheduled for a launch on Sept. 22 in the spirit of “the cyber-industrial revolution” at the Maison Margiela Crosby Street concept store in New York, and will consist of a mix of the Reebok Instapump Fury sneaker and the legendary split-toed shoe design by Margiela’s creative director, John Galliano, who previously worked for Christian Dior until 2011. The models will be available with heels and in a flat version, the heeled version will be a premiere for the Instapump Fury. Further new models are planned for 2021. After the launch in New York, the shoes will be available from the web shops of both brands as well as selected Margiela stores.
