The German children’s shoe manufacturer Ricosta has doubled the daily production of shoes at its headquarters in Donaueschingen from 1,000 to 2,000 pairs. With this, the company wants to signal to its trading partners that it is still able to deliver despite the coronavirus crisis and intends to maintain its strategic focus on its own production facilities in Europe. According to the company, production continues at full speed in the other four European locations in Hungary, Romania, Poland and Croatia.

Ricosta is not suffering from a decline in demand. “Children’s shoes are demand-oriented products and therefore crisis-proof,” explains sales manager Kai Moewes.
