Rodolfo Zengarini has obtained a five-year license to produce footwear under the Bikkembergs brand, starting with the 2023 spring/summer collection. The companies have however already started a partial collaboration on the forthcoming autumn/winter collection.

The license was previously held by Hong Kong-based Global Brands Group (GBG) that went bankrupt last year.

The portfolio of the Italian shoemaker includes the brands Roberto Cavalli, Blumarine, John Galliano, John Richmond, Les Hommes, LHU Urban, Ungaro, Frankie Morello, Costume National and Vivetta. Rodolfo Zengarini is estimated to have posted sales of €20 million in 2021.

Bikkembergs was founded in 1986 by Dirk Bikkembergs and is currently owned by the Chinese group Modern Avenue Group through the company Levitas. The brand has a separate license agreement for children’s shoes with the Italian company Elisabet.
