Quick-Schuh, the discount-oriented chain of franchised stores of Ariston-Nord-West-Ring, boasts a 7 percent increase in the retail members' sales in 2009 to over €150 million, with a 3.7 percent increase on a same-store basis. The number of pairs sold grew to 2.7 million from 2.5 million. The revenues of Quick-Schuh itself jumped by 51.8 percent to €4.9 million, leading to a 20 percent increase in profits to €253,000. The supervisory board has been enlarged to make place for Günter Althaus, president of ANWR.
