ANWR and Sabu, two of the major German shoe retailing cooperatives, want to introduce a new digital ordering platform for the shoe industry together with a partner, Mobimedia. The German software company’s Quintet24 platform enables companies to trade online and carry out all pre-orders and re-orders digitally. Because of the cancellation of various mass events and trade shows in Germany, ANWR and Sabu wanted to find a digital solution for the forthcoming round of orders. Together with Mobimedia, they have developed a so-called “Sprint Order” on the Quintet24 platform for the digital handling of the whole ordering process. The new platform is available for all parties in the shoe industry, even non-members of ANWR or Sabu. The offers of the various buying groups will be provided in separate data rooms. ANWR and Sabu will be the communication partners and coordinators for shoe suppliers, in order to connect all relevant industry partners as well as shoe retailers to the platform. Mobimedia is responsible for the development of the platform and its technical implementation. The two German shoe retailing cooperatives recently decided to set up a new seasonal schedule for the presentation of new products in concert with HDS/L, the German shoe and leathergoods industry association. Many partners from the shoe, leathergoods and textile industries have already agreed to postpone their offerings for the next seasons. The two cooperatives have moved the dates of their in-house trade fairs forward for the spring/summer 2021 season.
