The French footwear retailer Besson Chaussures is opening on May 19 three new stores, including its first in Paris. Besson’s stores are typically located in the outskirts of urban areas. The retailer currently has a network of 164 stores.
The Parisian store will occupy 940 square meters and will be located in the city’s southern 13th arrondissement, replacing a Toys’r’us shop. Besson launched the smaller “Shoes Room” format for city centers last year. It has already opened two stores under the new format, one in Lyon and one in Evry, south of Paris.
May 19 is the re-opening date for non-essential retailing in France after a Covid-19 related lockdown.
