According to an English-language Indian daily, the Deccan Herald, Hidesign will be expanding its retail footprint in its home country of India. The producer of leathergoods will be opening flagships – every one exceeding 1,000 square feet and carrying the brand’s full range of products – in Pondicherry, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. There will also be 16 outlets in various locations. The company currently operates 102 own-stores worldwide, including 32 at airports. Its 25-country distribution network includes the House of Fraser chain in the U.K. and the Myer and David Jones chains in Australia. The Deccan Herald reports also that Hidesign is working with Sanchita, a designer in the city of Bengaluru, to launch a collection of designer shoes for sale in its stores.
