The German shoe manufacturer Sioux will directly manage distribution in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The move, effective from Aug. 1, is aimed at being closer to customers in the growing Benelux market, the company said.
The Walheim-based company was represented in the Benelux by the Dutch footwear distributor Hooijer Groep.
Tom Konings, who previously worked at Hooijer, will be in charge of sales in the region and will also manage the local customer service.
“In the future, we will be able to respond more flexibly to customer requests and, with direct delivery from Sioux’s central warehouse, our products will be available in stores faster than ever,” Konings said.
