Shoeaholics, the discount footwear and accessories e-commerce site owned by the British upmarket footwear retailer Kurt Geiger, is opening its first six pop-up stores in the U.K, including one on London’s Oxford Street.
The site enjoyed a surge in revenues during the coronavirus-related lockdown and wants to build on the momentum by opening stores when other retailers are closing down. It considers that there is consumer demand for physical stores offering a wide-range of branded shoes at low prices, especially with the future of department stores at risk.
Shoeaholics was established in 2014 and offers discounts of 30-40 percent on the recommended retail price of branded shoes. Among the more that 100 brands it stocks are Kurt Geiger, Carvela, Aldo, Steve Madden, Superga, Nine West, Michael Michael Kors, Birkenstock and UGG.
