Sabu Schuh & Marketing, one of the biggest German trade associations in the shoe sector, recorded an increase in the volume of its centralized settlements of 20 percent for the first half of this year compared with the same period last year. The increase resulted mainly from new members who joined Sabu in the last couple of months, as well as the planned expansion of prospering members. Affiliated retailers recorded an increase in sales of 1.5 percent for the first quarter of 2011. Sabu expects a positive development of sales for the second half of this year, as order volumes for the fall/winter season are higher than last year.
