Salvatore Ferragamo has hired eight web gurus, commonly referred to as “influencers,” to help the company develop a new digital project focusing on the designer's Gancini monogram range. The eight influencers, who have been asked to create a series of short movies, are Aureta, Bryan Boy, Diet_Prada, Susie Bubble, Caroline Daur, Carlo Sestini, Pelayo and Tamu McPherson. It is the first time that the Italian fashion house has relied on influencers for a marketing campaign.
