Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays the shoe-obsessed character of Carrie Bradshaw in the “Sex and the City” TV series, has signed up with Manolo Blahnik to market her own line of shoes. Inspired by the ‘seventies and ‘eighties, and notably by “old-school” labels like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon, the new collection is simply called SJP, after the actress' initials. The SJP accessories line will also feature bags and a few trench coats. The footwear line will encompass sandals, flats, heels and boots. Prices will range from $200 to $300 for shoes and just below $700 for handbags. The collection will be on sale exclusively through Nordstrom starting in early 2014. The announcement coincided with the 15th anniversary of the first “Sex and the City” series on the HBO cable TV channel.
