Sarenza has inaugurated a new automated distribution center at Réau, in Seine-et-Marne, a French department in the Ile-de-France region, which surrounds Paris. The opening ceremony took place on Oct. 14, and was attended by the French President, François Hollande, who toured the facility and praised it as an example of France's innovation in the logistics sector. The new fulfillment center of the French shoe online retailer will be able to process an order in around 30 minutes, Sarenza said in a release. The warehouse was designed by XPO Logistics, based in Greenwich, Connecticut, which will also operate it on Sarenza's behalf. Sarenza operates in 27 European Union countries and Switzerland. The company said the new facility is to support additional growth.
