Schuh Mücke, the big German shoe and sporting goods retail chain within the ANWR Group, has reported a decrease in sales of 6.5 percent to €97.2 million for 2018, as compared to the previous year. Sales increased by 6.7 percent in 2017 as compared to 2016. The sales figure for 2018 is similar to that of 2016. Operational Ebitda declined from €8.8 million in 2017 to €3.9 million in 2018. According to Schuh Mücke, the sales decline was due to the modernization of the chain's IT infrastructure and the replacement of the existing merchandise management system. Sales increased by 1 percent in the first five months of this year, as compared to the same period of the previous year. Schuh Mücke sells shoes, apparel and accessories through its twelve stores, all in Bavaria. Shoes account for 65 percent of the product range, apparel for 32 percent and accessories for 3 percent. The ANWR Group has reported that it raised its overall business volume by 4.6 percent to €4 billion in the first five months of this year.
