Schuhfair is a new trade show concept due to be launched in Germany in March 2008. After MICAM and GDS, about 25 agents will present their collections on four different locations, addressing medium and high fashion shoe retailers. Thomas Stein, who represents the Spanish brand Unisa in Germany, and Gudrun Fokkens, who works with the Spanish manufacturer Audley, are the organizers of the new concept. Schuhfair will start on March 31 in Hamburg, then move to Berlin on Apr. 2 and to Bad Soden on Apr. 10. The final date will be in Düsseldorf on Apr. 12. The shoe collections will be presented in medium-class hotels as well as in Düsseldorf’s Fashion House. All the participating companies will be present at the four locations. They will be charged a basic price of around €1,200 that will also cover the costs for advertisements – much less than another roving German exhibition, called Schuh Club, organized by Carola Brockmann. More information will be provided on www.schuhfair.de.
