Several potential candidates are said to be in line to take over the fashion house of Giorgio Armani, who has publicly indicated his willingness to sell it to a strategic investor in order to ensure the brand’s future. Besides LVMH, which had already expressed interest in the acquisition before, the names being circulated for the moment are L’Oréal and Marzotto, parent company of Hugo Boss and Valentino. Both of them have been posting excellent results lately. Domenico De Sole, who recently resigned as CEO of Gucci Group, is also mentioned in the Italian press as a potential partner of Armani.
