Shoes For Crews, the Florida-based specialist in slip-resistant work footwear, has hired Stuart Jenkins as president, chief executive officer and chief innovation officer as well as a member of the company's board of directors, effective Jan. 25, 2016. Matt Smith, the company's founder and current chief executive, will become chairman of the board of directors, while Stan Smith, founder and current chairman, will become chairman emeritus. Jenkins joins Shoes For Crews from Deckers Brands, the owner of Sanuk, Teva, Ugg, Ahnu and Hoka One One, where he most recently served as senior vice president of innovation and product development. Jenkins joined Deckers in 2008 as president of Mozos, the brand of protective footwear for the culinary services industry, and helped launch the Mozos brand. Prior to Deckers he served as chief executive of Illinois-based Principia College, his alma mater, for four years. Jenkins had previously led product innovation and business strategy for more than 20 years while covering various roles at a number of companies among which are Skydex Technologies, IMG Technologies/Sports Marketing Services, Performance Materials and Energy Shoe Company. He is an inventor of new technologies himself, holding 12 patents.
