Spartoo, the online retailer in footwear and fashion apparel, has been chosen by Google to evaluate and test its “Trusted Store” program in the U.K., France and Germany. Spartoo is the first online retailer to participate in this certification at the same time across several European countries. Google launched this certification program last year in the U.S. before testing it now in Europe. The Google badge is supposed to be a gauge of trust and information for internet users. Spartoo was founded in 2006 by three graduates from prestigious French schools, Boris Saragaglia, Paul Lorne and Jérémie Touchard. Spartoo now offers its online services in 20 European countries, offering over 30,000 models from 700 brands. The turnover in 2012 reached €130 million. Its website has around 14 million unique visitors per month.
