SSL International, the parent company of Scholl, had a 4.7 percent increase in sales on an underlying basis to £48.7 million (€18.6m-$28.1m) for the first half ended Sept. 30. Pre-tax profit jumped by 59.7 percent to £51.9 million (€19.9m-$29.9m). The company said that its two core brands, Scholl and Durex, performed well, and that its gross and net margins went up.
