Steve Madden has bought Big Buddha, an American brand of handbags, founded in 2003, that had sales of about $13 million in 2009. Steve Madden paid $11 million in cash, plus some earn-out provisions dependant on performance through 2013. The company expects the acquisition to be accretive immediately.
