Stonefly reports sales increases of 20 percent in Italy and 10 percent abroad for the first half of this year, , after a drop of 5 percent for all of 2013. The management attributes the turnaround to a better, rejuvenated collection of women's shoes, with its Blu Soft and Second Skin lines. Another factor has been a stronger focus on fewer clients, particularly in Italy and Spain, with which the company has established closer relations. The Italian brand of comfort shoes is still studying alternative strategies for the U.S. market, but it has corners in about 20 department stores in Japan. It's not sure whether Stonefly will keep the momentum for the full year 2014, but the management is positive about 2015, following in particular a good response to a nice new men's collection being proposed for spring/summer 2015.
