Suppliers fared worse than retailers in Germany
The German shoe retailers' federation, BDSE, has reported stable sales for its members in 2012. While the specialist shoe trade achieved sales of around €8 billion in the last year, total shoe retail sales, including those of fashion boutiques, mail-order companies and department stores, reached €11.5 billion.
