The Brits lead European rankings in online shopping. According to a new study by the UK Office of National Statistics, almost 80 percent of U.K. shoppers made a purchase online last year, more than any other country in the EU. Scandinavian countries registered similar figures, with 79 percent of the purchases made online, followed by Germany at 70 percent and France at 62 percent. Italians still lag behind with only 22 percent of individuals in the country completing a purchase online in 2014.
