The Dongguan China Shoes and China Shoetec fair due to take place on Apr. 18–20 will feature a free seminar on entering the European and Chinese markets, dealing with restricted substances, and quality assurance. Speakers include Massimo Donda, president of Federcalzature and the Italian Footwear Retailers Association, who is presenting an overview of worldwide and European footwear data (in terms of production, consumption, exports and imports). In addition, the Guangdong Chain Operations Association is providing a half-day symposium on China’s domestic footwear market in terms of market analysis, merchandising strategy and direction. Other experts involved in the seminar include Arnaud Dyduck, the assistant manager of CTC Group in France, Kathy Leung, project manager of STR HK, and Gabor Arpad Piller, chemical director of STR Taiwan, who will all be talking about restricted substances in footwear.
