The fashion and leathergoods division of LVMH posted a 12 percent sales increase on an organic basis for the first nine months of this year, contributing to a rise of the same magnitude for the same group, and the momentum is expected to continue in the 4th quarter. As usual, Louis Vuitton recorded an exceptional performance. According to analysts, it has come to represent one-third of the group’s entire sales and two-thirds of its operating profit. To celebrate it, LVMH inaugurated a few days ago an impressive new flagship store for Vuitton, expanding to 1,800 square meters its previous site on the Champs-Elysées in Paris and redecorating it. At the same time, Vuitton launched its new e-commerce site, initially for the French market. The UK and Germany should be added soon.
