The fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo closed 2008 with a 1 percent increase in revenues to €691 million thanks to a strong performance in the Asia-Pacific region. At constant exchange rates, sales rose by 5 percent and Asia-Pacific turnover surged by 23 percent. Operating income (Ebit) fell to €64 million from €77 million and net profit slipped to €39 million from €47 million. The number of stores jumped to 552 at the end of 2008 from 503 in 2007.
