The Nike group saw its sales rise by 5 percent to $8,554 million for the second quarter of its fiscal year, as a dip in North America was compensated for by an uptick in demand in other regional markets. The Nike brand's turnover alone reached $8,136 million, up by 5 percent in reported terms and 4 percent in constant currencies. Converse's sales dipped by 2 percent to $408 million, down by 4 percent in constant currencies, as international demand failed to make up for weakness in North America.
