The work of Roger Vivier will be celebrated by a special exhibition at the Dutch Leather and Shoe Museum in Waalwijk, which will open on Feb. 21. A section of the exhibition, entitled Shoe Treasures – Roger Vivier, will be dedicated to Vivier's creations for Christian Dior. The designer made shoes for Dior for ten years, between 1953 and 1963, including some for Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot. Also in the exhibition will be creations from the 1930s, when Vivier was a designer for New York-based manufacturers Miller and Delman. Highlights of this period will include four pairs of court shoes made for Marlene Dietrich.
