Thorsten Hermelink will be new chief executive for the “brands” business unit at Görtz from the second quarter of 2012. He will be responsible for further developing the company's own brands, for direct sourcing and the international wholesale business, and for the retail concepts Görtz 17 and Görtz Shoes. Previously, Hermelink worked as CEO at Strauss Innovation and was responsible for the realignment of the company. Christian Moritz, since 2007 CEO at Görtz GmbH and Görtz Kompakt GmbH, is new CEO for the “multibrands” business area at Görtz from Feb. 1. He will still manage all business activities of Görtz and Görtz Kompakt but also be responsible for the buying department and the development of new brands within the group. The restructuring of the management board is now complete.
