Timberland's sales grew by 10 percent in the second quarter on a constant-currency basis, with increases of more than 15 percent in Europe and more than 5 percent in Asia-Pacific, but the strength of the dollar reduced the growth rate to two percent in reported terms. Vans, another brand that belongs to VF Corp., posted double-digit growth for the 23rd consecuting quarter, rising by 23 percent in local currencies. Its sales increased by more than 30 percent in Asia-Pacific and by around 15 percent in Europe. As a group, VF  reported an 8.3 percent increase in net income to $170.8 million for the quarter on 4.7 percent higher revenues of $2,484 million. More in SGI Europe and The Outdoor Industry Compass.
