Tod's will go ahead with plans to finance the restoration of the Colosseum in Rome, blackened by pollution and affected by vibrations from passing traffic. The $30 million restoration project will begin in December and is expected to last two to three years, during which the monument, one of the most visited in the world, will remain accessible to tourists. Diego Della Valle, the founder and main owner of the luxury shoemaker, urged fellow entrepreneurs to step up and help fix other Italian landmarks.
