The German trade show for shoes and accessories, essenz, cancelled its March edition due to restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The show was scheduled from March 28 to 30 in Munich. The organizers still expect to hold the September edition.

Several shoe brands have nevertheless decided to present their autumn/winter collections in showrooms rented at the MOC venue in Bavarian city.

Futurmoda, the Spanish fair of leather, components and machinery for footwear and leathergoods was also cancelled. It was scheduled April 7 to 8 at Alicante’s exhibition center. The next edition is expected on Oct. 20 to 21, if the situation caused by the pandemic improves.

Meanwhile, the digital edition of the Milan-based footwear trade show Micam kicks off on March 8 and runs until May 8. The show’s innovation hub Micam X, has its official opening at 2.00 pm, Milan time, with a live streaming on micamx.themicam.com. The physical edition of Micam was scheduled from March 21 to 23 and was also cancelled due to the resurgence of the pandemic. The next edition is scheduled from Sept. 19 to 21.
