Two executives of Hartjes have been promoted to share the top management of this Austrian manufacturer of comfort shoes following the departure of its former chief executive, Otto Leodolter, who is moving into the clothing sector. They are Hans Sternbauer and Martin Leodolter, the younger brother of Otto. They will be responsible for sales and technical matters, respectively. With more than 320,000 pairs sold, all made in Austria, the company is expecting a turnover of €12 million in 2011. This doesn't include sales of insoles and orthopedic shoes by a subsidiary.
