The Italian shoe manufacturer Unique has signed a five-year agreement with Mistral, owner of the sportswear brand Brooksfield, to produce men’s and children’s footwear lines under the Brooksfield name. The partnership will start with the 2009 Spring/Summer collections and will focus on Europe and the former Soviet countries.

The deal is part of Brooksfield’s brand extension policy. This apparel brand already has licence agreements for eyewear and watches and is aiming to strike similar deals for perfume and leatherwear next year.

The forthcoming line of men’s shoes will have a sporty look. It has been designed in collaboration with Walk Pro, the design studio of Stefano Del Biondi, and it will be made in Italy.

CHD Studio participated in the design of the children’s collection. Unique has already produced children’s lines for leading brands such as Enrico Coveri, Gattinoni, Superga and Angel & Devil.
