Vans has sued Primark, the British fast fashion retailer, in a federal U.S. court in Brooklyn, charging that it began selling copies of its Old Skool and SK8 Hi vulcanized shoes in the U.S. The hot American brand of sneakers says that Primark started selling those knockoffs in some of its U.K. stores last year, but stopped after being contacted by Vans. Charging that Primark's products feature a similar logo and similar waffle sole as its own products, Vans is seeking damages for infringement of registered trademarks through its U.S. lawsuit.
