Walter Neuroth, managing director of the Deichmann group and responsible for the expansion of the group, will be leaving the company by the end of the year, and retiring at the age of 64 years. He has been working for 16 years on the executive board of the group. In order to guarantee a smooth transition, Wolfgang Wislsperger has been appointed to take over his position. He will continue to be responsible for the international and national expansion of the company. Wislsperger is working for the Deichmann group since October 2007. Due to the retirement of Neuroth, the executive board of the Deichmann group will be smaller. It will now consist also of Martin Fischer, responsible for sales; Wolfram Hail, responsible for purchasing; Martin Heynen, in charge of finance and controlling; and Karsten Schütt, who takes care of IT and logistics. Heinrich Otto Deichmann is still the president of the supervisory and executive boards, while his father, Heinz-Horst Deichmann, is vice president of the supervisory board.
