Wolverine Worldwide has hired Angelo Ng to be its first chief merchant officer. He will be aligning market research, trends and strategy with respect to merchandising and innovation for Wolverine's portfolio of brands. Ng turned away from vending about two years into his career with a post at Boxer, where he handled purchasing and design for two men's fashion collections per year. He then spent a little less than four years at Nike in merchandising and product management. There followed nearly 19 years at Levi Strauss & Co., where Ng climbed to vice president of global merchandising for men's collections, collaborations and accessories. He has spent most of his career in the Netherlands and Belgium.
