Wortmann's sales rose by 10.5 percent to €503.1 million between last June and November, corresponding to the first six months of its financial year. Orders in hand indicate that the German group will likely reach a turnover of more than €995 million for the full fiscal year, up from €957.7 million the year before. Sales abroad should represent about 54 percent of the total, compared with 52.7 percent the previous year, but sales are also growing in Germany. The company points in particular to a strong development in Russia, where Wortmann has its own organization, and in France. Novi Footwear's private-label business will likely record a decline this year, however.
