Yoox increased nine-month sales by 35.6 percent to €204.4 million but net profits slipped by 10.0 percent to €3.6 million. Earnings were affected by depreciation and amortization connected to investments in an automated distribution platform, the opening of a new office in Milan, the expansion of premises in Bologna and the start-up of operations in China. The number of monthly visitors averaged 9.4 million during the nine-month period compared with 8.1 million a year earlier, while the number of active clients, who placed at least one order over the past 12 months, increased to 746,000 from 576,000. The number of orders increased to 1.481 million from 1.115 million a year earlier and the average order value was stable at €174. Meanwhile, it has been disclosed that the holding company of Renzo Rosso, boss of Diesel, has raised its stake in Yoox from 6.8 to 8.4 percent.
