Yves Morin, 65, is retiring as president of CTC, the French Leather Center, after 20 years of involvement. Under his leadership, the public-private institution has developed its operations globally in the areas of leather, leathergoods and footwear, notably in Asia. His position at CTC has been taken over by Frédéric Godin, who comes from a British certification body, Lloyd's Register. Morin continues as president of the International Union of Footwear Technicians (UITIC), which is staging its biennial convention in the Portuguese city of Porto next month. He plans to continue to be active in consulting, especially in his favorite area of sustainable development.
