Zalando booked a net loss of €41.7 million in the third quarter, up sharply from €11.1 million in the year-ago period, while sales growth slowed down to 11.7 percent from 28.7 percent. The adjusted operating profit (Ebit) sank to a negative level of €38.9 million on total turnover of €1.2 billion. Aside from the weather situation, the management cited higher fulfilment costs and a problem with product returns.
